The curated metaverse platform Metropolis World announces a partnership with Flare, a blockchain which enables secure, decentralised interoperability between chains and metaverses.
Using Flare‘s blockchain technology, users will be able to seamlessly move between different metaverse ecosystems and blockchains, such as Decentraland and Sandbox, a key aspect of Metropolis’ metaverse vision.
As a result of the Flare partnership, Metropolis World will have a bridge to other metaverses, making it a one-stop destination. Metropolis users will be able to move into other worlds easily without borders.
Due to its unique design aesthetic, Metropolis World differentiates itself from other metaverse platforms: its cities are created digitally by hand, and each property is a unique standalone work of art. Metropolis does not use generative art to create its cities, unlike most NFT collections.
Cities
In Metropolis’ cities, every building will be a 1/1 NFT and will be hand-drawn.
Celeste, the platform’s first city, is scheduled to launch this summer, followed by avatars and a marketplace a year later.
Metropolis City expects to launch six cities in 18 months, with each property sold as an NFT.
Interoperability
The seamless movement between ecosystems and blockchains is one of Metropolis City’s distinguishing features.
In order to develop its ecosystem, it has formed partnerships with a number of high-profile ambassadors from the worlds of music, art, gaming, NFT, cryptocurrency, and business. These include — 3LAU, Bored Elon, Chad Knight, Dillon Francis, Diplo, Fvckrender, Valfre, Meltem Demirors, Outlier Ventures, Steve Aoki.
Celeste is Metropolis’ first metaverse city and it will launch in the coming months while its avatars and marketplace will drop over the next 12 months.
