Polygon Layer 2 Network

Polygon:AggLayer

Polygon, formerly known as Matic Network, is a layer-2 scaling solution for Ethereum that enhances transaction speed and reduces fees through its sidechain architecture. Launched in 2017, Polygon operates as a multi-chain system, providing a framework for building and connecting Ethereum-compatible blockchain networks. It combines the security of Ethereum with the scalability of its own Proof-of-Stake (PoS) sidechains. By offering lower transaction costs and faster processing, Polygon supports a wide range of decentralised applications (dApps) and DeFi projects, making it a key player in expanding Ethereum’s capabilities and adoption.
