On April 20, Coinbase launched its non fungible token (NFT) marketplace, allowing select buyers and sellers to trade these digital collectibles. General access to the platform is planned within the next few months.
All users will be able to view the beta NFT marketplace starting today, but only select users will be able to buy or sell. “Coinbase will onboard a limited number of users for Coinbase NFT,” vice president of product Sanchan Saxena told The Block.
Coinbase said it has partnered with 0x Protocol to optimize transactions to minimize the gas fees. In addition, there will be no transaction fees on its NFT marketplace “for a limited time.”
To trade NFTs, users can use either a Coinbase wallet or any other wallet they own.
