The purchases are scheduled to take place over the next twelve months, subject to market conditions.

The company’s board described the plan as part of a “strategic digital-asset initiative,” positioning Bitcoin as a store-of-value allocation and the Trump token as an expression of brand alignment with its audience. The Newsmax crypto treasury is expected to begin accumulation “in the near future,” though specific custodial and compliance partners have not been disclosed.
Market Setting
Bitcoin dipped below $104,000 this week amid risk-off sentiment, while the Trump token traded around $5.79 with a market capitalisation near $1.1 billion. Newsmax’s entry joins roughly $125 billion in corporate crypto holdings worldwide, modest in scale but notable in symbolism.
The network, listed on the NYSE since March following a Regulation A+ offering, saw shares gain about 2.5 per cent on the announcement, though still down over 80 per cent since listing.
A Calculated Signal
Whether viewed as portfolio diversification or audience engagement, the Newsmax crypto treasury reflects a growing readiness among traditional media groups to experiment with digital assets as both balance-sheet tools and narrative instruments. It’s less a bet on price than a statement of participation, an acknowledgment that crypto now functions as both currency and communication.
