Accuracy is the product. When we find an error, we check the evidence and fix the published copy.

Reporting an error

Spotted something wrong? Tell us via the contact page with a link to the article and, if you can, a source. We aim to respond within two working days.

How we correct

Correction. A factual error changed the meaning, so we fix the text and keep the corrected version at the original address.
Clarification. The facts were right but the wording misled, so we adjust the wording so the meaning is clear.
Retraction. The story should not have run, so it is withdrawn, with a dated explanation left at its address.

We make verified corrections, clarifications, typos and formatting fixes directly in the published copy. Original publication dates remain visible.
