Bybit Fintech FZE has received a full virtual-asset service provider licence from Dubai’s Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority. VARA’s public record lists Exchange Services, an issue date of 20 October 2026 and an active status.

Bybit describes the approval as covering spot trading: buying and selling the assets themselves. The licence conditions include institutional investors, qualified investors and retail investors.

The regulator names the licensed company

The authorised entity is Bybit Fintech FZE, with the reference VL/26/10/003. Its registered address is at One Central in Dubai World Trade Centre.

Spot trading is the approved activity

Bybit says the licence supports its business in Dubai, where it established its international headquarters in 2022. The announcement identifies spot trading as the service covered by the approval.

The company also describes an ambition to obtain permission for derivatives in the future. It makes that ambition conditional on further regulatory approvals.

VARA’s jurisdiction covers Dubai’s mainland and free zones, with the Dubai International Financial Centre under its separate regulatory framework. The regulator’s own record sets out that jurisdiction alongside the licensed entity.

Full licences follow an earlier approval stage

VARA’s public register explains that an in-principle approval lets an applicant complete the remaining licensing requirements. A full VASP licence is the permission required to begin the authorised virtual-asset activities.
