Stored Value Facility (SVF): A licence category for services that hold customer money and let them spend it later, like a prepaid card or a payment wallet. It regulates the thing as a payment instrument rather than as an investment, which is why an SVF holder can sit inside an ordinary checkout. Crypto.com's Dubai entity became the first virtual asset service provider granted one by the Central Bank of the UAE.
