What happened
On September 24, 2025, attackers drained about $24M across BTC, ETH, LTC, DOGE and BCH in a multi-asset hot-wallet breach tied to SBI infrastructure.
The case had all the usual custodial red flags: hot-wallet exposure, fast laundering, and uncertainty over whether the initial compromise was keys, servers, or something adjacent. Either way, the exchange side of the stack failed before chain logic could play any part.
