What happened
On 2 June 2025, Nervos's ForceBridge lost about $3.7M after flawed cross-chain validation let attackers mint synthetic assets and dump them.
Bridge validation is the whole game. When it is wrong, the bridge stops being a bridge and turns into a mint.
